Picture the Holidays, slacker style

So… how is everyone?  All recovered?  Did you have a lovely holiday?  Part One of mine was fantastic!  Part Two, unfortunately, is currently being preempted by a blizzard, but we’ll get it all figured out later in the week I suppose.

Last week was a whirlwind of activity on my part, and I was so so busy, I even gave myself permission to skip my daily photo projects.  You know you are up to your eyeballs in crazy when you can’t imagine setting aside five minutes to snap a photo or two.

Anywho, this morning we awoke to blizzard warnings, decided to temporarily abandon our long-standing plans with my family, and just hang out here at home.  Perfect opportunity to catch up on those projects, wouldn’t you say?

Day 19 – Making a list, checking it twice (this was the last on-time photo I took before I lost the will to participate…)

Day 20 – Wrapped with love

Day 21 – Attitude adjustment (how convenient that I was playing dress-up last week…)

Day 22 – You are getting sleepy

Day 25 – This magic moment

Day 26 – The day after (all caught up with my photos now, if not with my dishes…)

Day 20 and Day 23 were actually taken this morning with the help of one of my fun new camera accessories: a super macro conversion lens from Neil. It’s a great little accessory, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it later in the week.

Also on the list of things to tell you all about: my nephew’s new quilt (sewing), my father’s new hat & gloves (knitting), and the transformation my dining room made from “craft supply dumping ground” to “dinner for 10”  (utter insanity).

Hope you’ll all be around next week, since I am likely to be chatty!

  1. I just love your blogs. So fun. I’m amazed how different your living room looks from day to night. Sorry to hear you are in the blizzard zone. See you next year when you dig out I suppose. On your list I see such neat precise printing. How the heck do you do that I ask myself. LOL Here’s wishing you a Happy & Prosperous New Year!

    1. I’ve got naturally neat handwriting, I suppose! As long as I’m not in a hurry, anyway 🙂 Yeah, the living room does look quite different bathed in a soft red glow than it does at full sunlight. It’s one of the reasons that Tacky Santa has grown on me. Love that red glow. Happy New Year to you and yours!
