Urges of the domestic kind

Good morning!  After a week of being out-of-sorts for a variety of reasons, I am suddenly overcome with the desire to do something about this:

And if I have any energy left after that is done, there is still half a bag of apple “seconds” I could have my way with… I’ve got three pie fillings in the freezer already, but another one or two couldn’t hurt.  Or, maybe an apple crisp to eat today.  Mmmmm.

I am going to go hop in the shower now and hope that I still feel like tackling this mess when I get out 🙂

  1. You’ve been taking pictures of my kitchen again! With Gram still in the rest home and us working like dogs clearing out her house, not much is getting done on the home front-not even any sewing! Now I have a job, so I think I’ll just close and lock the door behind me and move into a hotel-LOL!

    1. Heh. Closing the door on the disaster does seem like a good option sometimes! Hope things settle down for you soon.

  2. Urges for the domestic work ~ no ~ hee hee. But I must be doing it today too:)

    1. You’re lucky you can force yourself to clean without silly mindgames. I either need to feel the urge, or I need to play games with myself to get it done!

  3. Hey, how’d my kitchen get on your blog? 🙂 Sadly, no real urges to remedy the mess at my house. The only urge I have right now is for my kids to go back to bed and for me to get a second cup of coffee in!

    1. Heh. I am very familiar with that urge 🙂 (and glad that I’m not the only one whose kitchen looks like that!)

  4. You have a WHITE kitchen floor?
That would be a nightmare for me. I need to think long and hard about unicorns and rainbows if I’m going to sleep well tonight!

    1. You know, it’s actually not as bad as you might think. It requires very little attention from me (and believe me, it gets very little attention from me, LOL!) I’ve been wanting to replace it with some nice tile, but maybe I should consider myself lucky and leave it alone!

  5. my plans for the week? finish up a jewelry order and get it out. Make a bottle of hope for a friend with breast cancer, find my studio table top, and write about 2000 words a day for NaNoWriMo. cleaning has gone by the wayside for the next 15 days.

    1. Yep, you sound busy! I hope your friend’s treatment is a success!
