So, it’s the weekend. It’s going to be another hot one here in New Jersey. Some Strawberry-Lemonade Smoothies may be in order.
I’d love to fall asleep tonight next to an open window, and listen to the sounds of the ocean lapping up on the shore. I’d wake up tomorrow, tiptoe down the sleepy sandy alley in my handmade pjs, to a bakery where I’d get a crumb bun and a nice cup of coffee.
*sigh*
Anybody want to join me? What a lovely getaway that would be.
If only we had a shore house. Maybe someday.

Come to our beach! Today’s high: 73F. Yesterday we only made it up to 69F. Okay, so you can’t actually go swimming in the Pacific (too cold), but the sand is still gritty and the sky is still blue, most of the time. On a clear day you can see Catalina; on a clear night, you can watch the planes landing at LAX.
That sounds perfect! I don’t actually need to go swimming – I’m happy to lounge around on a beach quilt with a good book all day 🙂

P.S. It’s not even 11am yet, and it’s already 90 degrees here.
