Reasons to be Cheerful

Can it really be over a year since my last RTBC post?  That just wrong – I’ve always got reasons to be cheerful! How about I share a few today?

  • The return of my Friday Flickr Favorites.  Aren’t these some beautiful photos? (You can probably tell I was looking for home-sewn shirt inspiration recently.)  This mosaic is full of the colors that always appeal to me – aquas, yellow-greens, and a touch of pink.  Yummy.  I may not be able to do these favorites mosaics weekly like I used to, but I do hope to get back into making them more often.  (Click on the mosaic for full photo credits and links.)
  • Being able to loosen our belts just a touch.
  • My birthday is tomorrow!

  • Beach blankets made with love (and vintage linens).  Ooh yes, and how about a book or two to read while relaxing atop said blanket?  Throw in a lovely ocean breeze, and we definitely have a winner.
  • Huggable little boys in bandana pants.

There are so many more things, but I think I’ll save them for another day.  How about you?  Feeling cheerful this lovely Friday?

  1. My reasons to be cheerful/happy/thankful: wonderful family and friends; my health and that of said family and friends; the great Pacific Northwest (Portland, OR) outdoors–even on the recent winter-like days; spring blooms; my dogs; knitting; reading and quilting.

    1. That all sounds so nice. I’d love to see what Portland is like some time.

  2. Lovely cheerful day here, to the north of you, as well. Happy birthday a day early!

  3. Hope you had a happy birthday. I love the colors of the mosaic also.
