Taking the afternoon off

Oh, brrr! It’s so cold here today!  I’ve been spending the last several days cleaning, decorating, and furiously knitting, all in anticipation of the open house I’m hosting today, and I’m tired!  This morning was the first wave, which was lightly-attended, but still a pleasant time.  Tonight I hope to be busier.

But this afternoon, while I wait? I’m parking myself down on the couch, putting on a few DVRed Marthas, and knitting a Santa hat.  Soon enough I’ll be standing at the bus stop with my teeth chattering, waiting for the boys to come home.  Until then, I’m taking the day off and enjoying the fact that the howling wind is on the other side of the door.

Have a Happy Weekend, everyone!

  7. Gorgeous house! Hi, Lisa! I haven’t been around much (well, online, anyway), but I think of you all the time, and hope you are well. I have the lovely ornaments you made on our tree, and every year they make me smile. And in case I don’t manage to get the cards out this year, Merry Christmas! I’m still trying to get the cards out, but… well, it’s finals week here, and so we’ll see. But I’m thinking of you, and wishing you the best of holidays.

  8. I think the buttons of your new work, the neckwarmers, would perfectly fit to felted wool in light or dark grey. Try this!It is also easy to make. I love your stuff and I just started with polymer clay by myself. Merry christmas from Germany!
