Nine

Stripey Birthday Bunting

We have a birthday in the house today.  A sweet little boy who was born at 5:52 pm, February 26th, 2000.  Our Millennium Baby.

Nine years go by so quickly.  It seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital.

Just yesterday we were bleary-eyed from rocking a colicky baby to sleep two or three times a night.

Things are different now, nine years later.  He entertains us daily with his creative stories, drawings, songs, and personalities.

And rarely does this interaction happen at 3am anymore 😉

  10. Happy Birthday!!! Love the bunting, I have a ton of larger scraps out on my sewing table right now to make us a couple of them as well 😉

    1. I had fun making it. Each triangle has a different striped fabric on the front, and the same Amy Butler design on the back. I figured I’d use the flamboyant stripes for most occasions, and the more laid-back single-pattern side for occasions pertaining to the husband, who is less enthusiastic about colorful mix-and-match things than I am 🙂
