Hmmm, should I announce a winner?

Peonies in a mason jar

Or should I just leave you hanging? I’ve already waited five hours longer than I planned to before posting this followup to the bag giveaway, and maybe that’s hanging enough. You think? Ok.

So I asked Neil to come up with a random criteria by which to rank comments and choose a winner. The criteria he used was, well, to be honest I’m not sure exactly what he used, but I know the words “drool” and “exploding heads” were mentioned. That’s really all the detail I needed. Who really knows why Neil’s brain works as it does? I certainly don’t, and I’ve been married to it for thirteen years. Anywho…

I’d like to congratulate Corey whose comment satisfied some random criteria of a madman, and as such won her the Chocolate Lollipop patchwork purse. Congrats, Corey, I’ll drop you a line shortly so we can discuss delivery of your spoils 🙂

As for the rest of you, it’s going to take me some time to actually look at all of those projects you’re all working on! Such a creative bunch. And some of you wrote me some very nice notes, so I thank you for that.

And if you’re wondering about the flower photo? It’s unrelated to anything. It’s there for those of you who just can’t read a blog post without pictures. I understand you. I am one of you. The pretty picture is just for you. Now, don’t you feel better? I know I do!

  1. Congrats Corey!

Wish you were having a peony give-away! I can never get enough of those 😀

    1. I wish I had more than those two! They’re the only blooms we’ve got. It’s one more than last year though. Maybe next year I’ll get three 🙂

  2. Congratulations Corey!!

Lovely peony blooms – mine are still small tight little balls not ready to bloom yet – but in a couple of weeks I’ll have peony petals all over the front yard 🙂

I know what you mean about posts without pictures – I’ve started stealing … I mean borrowing … my sister’s pictures to post when I have none of my own – she has some gorgeous flowers at her place!

See what Sandra 🙂 has been blogging about: Stop rubbing me – my good luck streak is over, lol

    1. Sounds nice! I wish we had a whole bunch of them, but there is just one red one in the front yard and one pink one in the back yard. And now they’re both on my window sill 🙂

  3. I feel much better, mostly because I miss peonies. I grew up with bushes of them all over my parents and grandparents’ yards. It is too hot here to grow them, so I live vicariously through you and Flickr.

    1. Well, good, then. I’m glad I can help 🙂

  4. hmmm…so you are thinking of selling this bags… you might make me a bag convert – I am sick of the diaper bag I am carrying around!
Let me know when you get some up on your site!

    1. nice that I can’t spell… should be “these” bags

    2. I’ve got two more in the works. If I’m lucky I’ll get a chance to work on them this weekend. I’ll most likely post about it here if I do 🙂

      1. tapping foot…. waiting for some cool bags!!

        (hee hee)

not that you don’t have 500 other things to do with your life 🙂

        1. Gee, I don’t remember you being such a drill sergeant, LOL!

          1. can you tell I am bored at work?!?!? (and hot – the a/c broke at work – not good)
I already told Sean I have “spent” my blow money for the month :O) Oddly, he didn’t seem nearly as excited by the bags as I am…

Honestly though – no rush 🙂 Enjoy your boys!

          2. Men. What do they know? LOL! I have a few more pressing projects for this week, but I already have the pieces cut out for those two purses – that must mean I have to get to them *some* time soon, I hope!
