What I think about while driving

Do you think Rod Stewart is still performing Tonight’s the Night live at this point in his career? If so, I have one word for that: Ick! Does anyone really want to watch an old guy sing about deflowering a young innocent? Bleck, ew, ick.

And that’s what I was thinking about while driving today. (Maybe I should leave these little thoughts to myself in the future icon_wink-flickr-2)

 1. you scare me sometimes woman!! I can think of a lot more pleasant images/thoughts to have while driving. That is so not a video I want playing in my brain 😀 Maybe instead of that….think about new cane designs? Or what those rambunctious boys will be like when they are older?

 2. Actually, these days I usually spend my driving time (and my shower time, for that matter) composing blog posts in my head 😉 Most of them never make it to print, but they’re beautifully-worded – so eloquent, they’d knock your socks off. You’ll have to take my word for that, though…

 3.
Yeah, or Ringo singing “You’re all ribbons and curls, ooh, what a girl/Eyes that sparkle and shine/You’re sixteen, you’re beautiful and you’re mine”—creepy grandpa!

 4. Yeah, come to think of it, there are a world of songs that would be better off sung by someone other than the old-fogies who made them famous. I recently got creeped-out watching a You Tube video of David Cassidy singing I Think I Love You to some swooning fifty-somethings in the audience. At least in that case, he’s singing to someone his own age, but it still seemed kind of “wrong” somehow. Maybe I’ll feel differently when I’m fifty-something 😉
