Ok, like I had said earlier, I’m new to this LJ stuff. After poking around some other journals, I realized my last past was WAAAAAAY too big! Ok, so found a FAQ with the lj-cut syntax and tried to edit my post. Nada. No matter what I did it didn’t work. Maybe it can’t be added to an existing post? I’ve got the right syntax. Maybe the placement within the other HTML is important? I dunno. I’m going to try it in this simple post and see what happens…
