Custom-Made Buttons

These buttons are made entirely from durable polymer clay, are available as focal pieces or in sets, and feature a veneer of one of my signature millefiori designs.

The color and finish is inherent in the clay. No paints or sealers are used, so there is no possibility of chipping. After baking, the buttons are wet-sanded through several grits of sandpaper, and then buffed to a nice, soft, satiny shine. They are exceedingly smooth, and pleasant to hold.

The focal buttons come in a choice of sizes, are completely flat, and are edged by a solid-color border.

The button sets include three buttons which are slightly tapered on the edges.

When you go to the trouble of hand knitting, crocheting or sewing a special project, shouldn't the buttons you put on it also be special?

Ready-to-ship Buttons

These buttons are all made and ready to go. Because they were made previously, they don't necessarily follow the rules laid out above for custom orders, and they may be priced differently as well.

Generally-speaking:

• the focal buttons are all 1 1/4 inches and may or may not be flat with a border around the edges
• the giant buttons are all 1 3/4 inches. The button sets are mostly either 1/2 or 3/4 inches
• not all of these buttons have been sanded and buffed, but all have a shine to them
