Polka Dot Creations Color Challenge Finalists

It’s the last day of May, and that means Color Challenge time again! This time the color was DAFFODIL, and we had 104 entries to the pool. I picked nine of my favorites to be finalists. Allow me to introduce you to the finalists, before I reveal the winner:

  1. Small_IMG_0953, by mawshimp
  2. Mother’s day rabbit 02 : Praline, by kifkif
  3. Earrings, by kamoe-klay
  4. zoom – sunshine, by martinamahdavi
  5. Sunflower , polymer_clay_crazy
  6. Gianna Greentoes and her daffodil, by piccolini
  7. moe, by moe-ch
  8. banana bib front, by gigglepotamus
  9. woman magnets, by orlyrab

I encourage you to take a closer look at these photos and at the rest of the ones in the pool! Leave your comments on the photos over at flickr and let the artists know what you think – it’s always gratifying to hear that something you made has gotten a positive reaction from another creative type. If you are one of these finalists and would like to elaborate here on what was involved in creating your entry, be my guest – the comments section is yours Smile And now, I turn to the trusty random number generator (aka Neil, who hasn’t looked at any of the images) to select a winner: Drumroll please… And the winner is… #2! Congratulations, kifkif! That bunny is adorable! I hope your mother loved it. I will be emailing you shortly with information about your $25 gift certificate. Everyone else, get ready for June. We’ll be focusing on PURPLE, which I know will make a lot of people happy. I look forward to seeing what great things you come up with. I’ve made the decision that the color challenge will be a one year affair. As such, since we started in August of last year, our last challenge month will be July of this year. That’s two more months and two more colors left to go! Thanks, as always, for your participation!

I Stumbled Upon your fast 1/2 hour skirt using a sheet and remembered seeing that on Sew, Mama, Sew. I decided I needed to check out the rest of your blog. I like what I see! I love the idea of this color challenge. To bad I didn’t know about it before! At least I can play for the last two months.

I would like to thank everybody for making me the winner of this Color Challenge !

It came as a surprise to me, because I did participate for some months now, without the slightest hope of becoming the winner. I just did it for the fun of it and the pleasure to create little cute animals.

I always felt that the others participants were one notch above me as it comes to creating. So thanks again for encouraging me to pursue on felting animals !

My mother loves her Praline, so its’ a double pleasure for me.

Now Purple is a great and challenging color, we can expect to see marvellous creations ! So again thanks everybody and thanks Lisa !

Wow! Thanks for selecting me as a finalist. I just remembered to check & see if the May winner was posted, and came to find a pic of my bib in the mix- what a nice surprise! I was late coming into this, but I think it’s such a great idea. Congrats to the winner, I have a thing for bunnies, and that little bird on the tree is too cute!
