We’ve barely been home all week. We’ve been to Neil’s parents’ house twice, the boys and I have visited my Mom and Dad twice, Neil and I went out to a restaurant and a hotel for his birthday, and Neil is now in Kansas City for a convention.
We’ve spent a great deal of time celebrating the half century Neil has spent on this planet, and when I haven’t been involved in birthday stuff, I’ve been lounging around, visiting, and knitting. Much to the detriment of my house (it’s too much of a mess, I don’t even want to think about it).
That new sweater pattern I began working on last week is coming along quite nicely. The yoke features a bright rainbow pattern, which I’m really liking. We also saw an actual rainbow in the sky this week, so all in all, it’s been darn colorful around here.
So, what is This Week in Pictures?
It’s a roundup of the photos I shot for Project 365 (one image each day for all of 2016), plus some snapshots I posted on Instagram during the previous week.

Tuesday
365 📱: 2016 229/366 – The birthday celebrating continues with a rainbow over Morristown. [Taken at the Hyatt Regency Morristown.]
Wednesday

Thursday
365 📱: 2016 231/366 – Neil left for the World Science Fiction Convention this morning, so the boys and I are taking the opportunity to spend a few days with my parents. I’m kicking off my mini vacation with a relaxing dip in the pool. [Taken (underwater) in my parents’ pool.]
Friday
365 📷: 2016 232/366 – Ugh. This kitchen. It’s been sorely neglected this busy week. And looking at it now makes me wish I’d stayed at my parents’ nice clean house for a second night! 😉
Thanks for taking a peek at this week’s photos! If you want to see this stuff as it happens, please feel free to follow me on Flickr and/or Instagram.
I may already have plans to blog about some of these things in greater detail over the coming week, but be sure to leave a comment if there’s something in particular you want to know about!
Busy and fun week. Love the sweater!!
Thanks! I’ve had a lot of time to work on it this weekend, and I’m nearly done with the body already!
That sounds like a great week! Your sweater just keeps getting prettier…love those rainbow colors! 🙂
Thanks! I just bound off the body and tried it on. It fits. What a relief! It just needs some sleeves now 😊
