Hexagon blanket progress

10 blanket

So… I added another 18 hexagons to my blanket last week. (Yay!) I think another two sets of 18, and I’ll be done with the main part of the blanket. That’s exciting, because I can only do the same thing over and over again for so long before I am mentally ready for the next step.

How are you doing? Please feel free to post links to your blogs or Ravelry pages in the comments so we can all ooh and ahh over your progress!

I’ve got nothing really to tell you about in terms of blanket construction this week, but as soon as I get there on my own project, I can start talking about half hexagons, and dealing with the little zig-zaggy stuff on the bottom and top edges. After that, we’ll be free to talk borders, and then we’ll be done! If I can manage to keep up my momentum, I think we can be finished with this whole thing in a month.

I actually worked it out this weekend: if we make and join 18 blocks per week, this is an 8-week project. That’s pretty do-able.

What do you guys think? Are you with me? 🙂

I’ll meet you back here next week for another status update!

  1. This is so beautiful!!! I can’t wait to start mine!!

    1. Thanks for your feedback, Shannah! I hope you’ll share a peek of it once you get going on yours 🙂

  2. I miss my blanket! I’m in the thick of grad school interviews (3 down 4 to go) and the project has been collecting dust. But I’ve got this week off and my fingers are itching to start again!
