Mosaic Monday

Posted September 1st, 2008 by Lisa

So, it’s a new week, and that means it’s time to look back on the old one, via the wonders of Flickr (where my photos are kept) and Big Huge Labs (where I make my mosaics).

If you missed it last week, you can read my explanation of Mosaic Monday here.

Week in Review

Week in Review: August 25

Dying, sewing, watching fungus growing… this is how I spent my week. Click the image for full descriptions, and links to individual photos.

Six One Way

Six One Way: Week of August 25

Playing with dye, bleach, and puppies - last week’s more significant (and/or photogenic!) moments in motherhood and family life.

Flickr Favorites

Barcelona skirts, old cars, beautiful handicrafts, and more.  All of these photos were taken by other flickr users, and all of them spoke to me in one way or another.  Click the image for full photo credits and links to the original images.

Shop Spotlight

Shop Spotlight: Flip Flops!

Fuzzy Flip-Flops start with a plain pair of flip-flops.  I finger-knit some fuzzy fibers for the tops of them, and I make matching buttons.  The pattern on the button is chosen from my library of canes, to coordinate with the fuzz.  The outline color on the buttons is specially-mixed to match the color of the flip-flop itself.  The result is some fun footwear, and I think there might be just enough Summer weather left to enjoy a pair of these, don’t you?

With that in mind, I’m putting them on sale this week (until Midnight Eastern time, Sunday September 7th) for anyone who’s made it this far down the page.  I’m not advertising this anywhere else.  Simply mention this post in the shopping cart comments, and I’ll send you a revised invoice which will list the flip-flops at $12 each.

That’s pretty much a steal - I must really like you gals :-D

Happy Labor Day!

This day in blog history...
