Love the pics. Those buttons are great. I think the plant is acalled hen and chicks. It’s a succulent with one big plant, the hen, and little off shoots, the chicks. But I never saw one with a flower type projectile thing. Very interesting.

Okay, that whole bit about best laid plans and then going off & doing something completely different…that’s so me! I was going to work on a custom order this morning and then go straight to the sewing machine to work on another. I’ve been on the computer two hours now. ahem, better get going.

Hey, Lis, thanks!! You know, this is the third one of these I’ve made, and by far my favorite. I’ve been getting better and better at sewing straight lines (which is all this is) with practice, and tweaking my skirt pattern every time I make one. This skirt only took me half an hour, and knowing that, I’m tempted to make another 2 or 3 tonight. I’m on such a skirt kick! I’m really liking them so much more than shorts this year.

I lurk at the refuge, but haven’t really felt like a regular lately. I’m just not into the whole message board scene at the moment. I saw you started a blog – cool! I just subscribed to your feed.

THE SKIRT FREAKIN’ ROCKS! I’ve sat here for hours at my office, pretending to do work, so I’d say making a beautiful skirt ranks as a productive morning. I’ve been feeling like it’s friday today, too.

Gotta sit through 2 1/2 hours of student presentations tonight… all on california mudworms. Umm, they seem to have forgotten that I’m an ENGLISH professor… like I know diddly about worms?! Ah, well. Exit interviews and then a luncheon tomorrow and yet another summer’s teaching is finished.

Hope all is well with the boys… haven’t seen you around the refuge lately, so I thought I’d pop my head in and checkout the blog.
